Plenty has changed for Monitor 66 since we interviewed them last fall. They have slimmed down to two members (Calle has began pursuing a new alias), leaving Hannes & Hannes as the providers behind their new sound. We all first heard Monitor 66 with their iconic “Triscuits” track just a short 13 months ago and, in previewing their new EP (above), it’s safe to say they haven’t strayed too far from their principles. In the  meantime, they’ve worked on remixes for Kolombo, Rhythm Operator, and -my favorite- Emeron & Fox (listen below).

Vocalists Bit and Oh Deer provided some heavenly contributions to the first and last track of the release, though I have to say the front-running track at the moment is Nyx. House-influenced and constructed a tight, catchy melody – I’ve had that one stuck in my head all day. Look out for Vitae in stores on July 1st, courtesy of House of Disco. Incredibly original work from the two Hannes’s and we’re proud to continue supporting their accomplishments!
